Leibniz-Rechenzentrum

The Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (German: Leibniz-Rechenzentrum, LRZ) is an European supercomputing centre in Garching near Munich. The centre provides supercomputer resources for research and access to the Munich Scientific Network (MWN); it is connected to the Deutsches Forschungsnetz with a 10 Gbit/s link. In 2012, SuperMUC will be available as the successor of the Höchstleistungsrechner Bayern II (HLRB II) supercomputer.

The centre is named after Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz.
